Buying Sage Software for your business can be a daunting prospect, as can upgrading existing software. You need to be certain that you're getting the right software solution, and the right support.
I’ve invested in some pretty hopeless technology over the years, from a dismal quality camera and printer set for the Nintendo Game Boy to a short-lived, and terribly expensive, flirtation with a portable minidisc player.
Despite the disasters, there has been a couple of high points none more so than the Canon IXUS camera I bought a few years ago.
That was just as digital began to dominate the market, which would later result in the near extinction of traditional film cameras.
In fact, film now holds an unusual place in the market supplying cheap, disposable cameras at one end, all the way up to phenomenally expensive cameras which still rely on the old format.
Digital has transformed the middle ground, with every budding photographer now capable of taking quality snaps quickly and easily.
The new technology has also revolutionised the sector for professional photographers allowing them to work faster while still producing breath-taking images.
Speed has been the biggest benefit, especially for photographers employed by media outlets. For example, a sports photographer present at a football match can e-mail their pictures direct to a news outlet and, within minutes, the photos can be published.
So I’m clearly not alone in embracing the digital revolution, and it’s certainly been a better investment than some of my other technology purchases!
